Clergy Press Conference: Ash Wednesday at Wells Fargo Headquarters

Many of you have probably heard about the report out of Phil Ting’s office finding over 80% of the foreclosures carried out in San Francisco from 2009 through 2011 had at best irregularities and in some cases used illegal processes. The report's conclusion identifies the system as 'utterly broken.'

SF CARE's own Rev. Valerie McEntee is helping plan the Clergy Press Conference this Wednesday at Wells Fargo Headquarters to call on the sheriff’s department to cease enforcing foreclosures until the system can be repaired.

Media will be present and it helps our cause if we have a big turnout, so please consider coming down to 464 California Street at 10a.m. this Wednesday for this half hour action.

If you want to read the Ting report, you can find the link to it in this New York Times article:

You can RSVP on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/events/289378257795118/

We hope to see you there!
